GOALS

The goals set to achieve the vision and mission has been defined as follows:

TAS aims to ensure that

Decisions concerning design and implementation of Danish-supported activities are informed by technical insights, international good practice, and research-based knowledge;
Politically-initiated activities, such as new strategies and pilot initiatives, take full account of relevant knowledge and experience.

TAS will

Contribute to the development of Danish development cooperation by capturing and communicating new international trends and proactively suggesting improvements;
Serve as an in-house knowledge bank for embassies, departments and the Management of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, being available for advice – even at short notice;
Ensure the consistency of advice provided to embassies and departments.
Ensure that Danish-supported development research translates into improved implementation in line with overall priorities of Danish development cooperation;
Contribute to cross-fertilisation between bilateral and multilateral development cooperation and to strengthen the technical quality of multilateral cooperation;
Maintain a dialogue with the Danish and international development community, thus helping to set the international agenda;
Stay informed about relevant trends and individual contributions in development cooperation with a view to enabling knowledge sharing, in particular by organising Danida Development Days.
