AWARDING OF FUNDS FOR DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH 2011
At its meeting in June The Consultative Research Committee for Development Research (FFU) has assessed 50 research applications within the three priority research areas:
Climate, energy and sustainable use of natural resources,
Economic growth, employment and property rights,
Fragile states, conflict and civil society.
Approximately DKK 65 million has been allocated to researchers in Denmark and in developing countries, and approx. 20% of the total amount applied for has been granted.
11 projects were granted including 6 larger strategic projects and 5 individual research project.
The larger strategic applications have been through a quality assurance process with international peer reviews and comments from Danish representations. Based on these reviews and comments the FFU has made the final assessment of the applications.
